LS6 Intake swap before and after dyno #'s.
I started at an average of 315.3HP and 323.1TQ. My average of 5 pulls after the LS6 intake swap is 322.9HP and 329.3TQ. This is a net positive gain of 7.6HP and 6.2TQ. Not bad but I was hopeful for more. I did not do the coolant bypass on the Throttlebody. Long tube headers would likely really compliment the new intake.
One special note. During back to back pulls I removed the tube that connects the TB to the passenger side valve cover (PCV). The resultant tube on the TB was capped. This net another positve gain of .6HP. I have re-connected the tube and will be thinking of adding a filter on the tube to permenantly remove the hot vapor from the TB.
Here's my report so what do you think?
Not too many people report seeing gains on a bone stock motor. Glad you did. This confirms why '01-02 F-bodies make a little more power than ''98-00 models, even though they have smaller cams. The intake does help. A 2000 model with the bigger cam like the '98-99s and the better manifolds like the '01-02s would make the most power of all years, but it's nothing compared to what any model can make with long tubes and a bigger cam, LOL.

I've seen dyno sheets that show the LS6 swap has yielded nearly 30 RWHP gains. Typically, I believe 12-15 RWHP is about right. With a cam of very large duration, and full bolt-ons, I think you could see 25RWHP.
