You also dont encourage people to keep sending money for parts you have already received money for from somebody else.

I really hope people look into the person they are buying from.... this is what I did and it didn't look to convincing to me. Why is there 2 different s/n's?

and how did this person get my paypal info to send multiple request's..... glad I exposed this deal!

I think it was dougsfastz that originally called him out on it in the other thread, which he immediately deleted. The prices were very cheap, which is kind of a red flag. I have bought things cheap before with success, but this guy was luring people in to get their money quickly. SCUMBAG.

After doing a little research to make sure I was right, I found that you were right.... I seen were Doug posted about his incident with this member. There are way too many scammers on these boards these days and I personally think new rules should be enforced. 50 posts or 6 months is not enough to keep the scammers away. We could really cut them down with 150+ posts and a minimum year, must have verified paypal to beable to track any scammers. Like I said, I never buy from unverified paypal users, only unconfirmed user's. I am glad this guy got caught when he did before many more were taking, but be sure he will be back with a different s/n probally about 50 posts from now.

Honestly something needs to be developed cause I don't think any forum rules I have found yet keep scammers off the boards. It's easy to get 50 posts, hell even 150. If they are willing to scam they are willing to go through the forum and post on anything possible.

About 2 years ago I got scammed on an engine on another forum. That member was respected, had almost 2,000 posts and was a member of the board for years.

Now his name and IP are banned on that board but he still has an engine and $300 of my money.

So even the posts and time as a memeber really do not fix the problem.

You are right.... but there has to be a way to cut the number of scammers down.... It seems to happen way to much here at the TECH. Just take a look at the feedback section. I feel like I am gettin gscammed right now from another member. I bought a set of pistons from a guy on here who I found out bought them from another guy on the TECH back in JULY. When the pistons showed up, a couple were scratched up and one had a chip in it. I was told they were brand new forged piston still in the box. I have been tring to get that member to call me but I have been unsuccesful as of yet.

Sorry, I made a mistake, after looking at post #21, it almost looked as if he was tring to use 2 different s/n's.

Shinerbock07, if you have question about any member you plan on purchasing from, search their name and see if they have any feedback, ask for paypal address and see if that person is verified, and has a home address or someway to track the person. Feel free to go into member feedback and ask about a member, most people on this site personally know other members. If you still cant decide if you can trust a member then simply dont buy from them, remember some deals ARE to good to be true, and sometimes their is a reason for it.

Hopefully all scammers will relize that they cant get away with the parts and the money.... Hopefully this guy is tracked down and pays for all crimes of theft, he should be used as an example.....

Like I said before, there is way too many scams going on within this board right now, something needs to be done about.
