injector clips won't fit SVO injectors

injector clips won't fit SVO injectors I'm having trouble getting the injector clips that hold the injectors to the fuel rail to fasten down with my SVO 36's. Will these work or are the injectors a differant mold then the stockers? I'm worried that the rail will come off the injectors and leak.

Re: injector clips won't fit SVO injectors They should work fine. I've had SVO 42# injectors and the clips fit perfect. I now have Siemens injectors and the clips fit perfect on those. Are you sure you're trying to clip them in the right spots?
I can get a pic tomorrow of what they look like installed if you still can't get them.

Re: injector clips won't fit SVO injectors The clips will work just fine. Don't cram the injector all the way up into the hole. Slide them back out slightly until the slot in the injector lines up with the clip.

The clips will work just fine. Don't cram the injector all the way up into the hole. Slide them back out slightly until the slot in the injector lines up with the clip.
It makes taking the fuel rail out easier if the clips are on. Without them the rail might pull off an injector if your taking it out and spill the left over gas on the engine. The truck rails hold ALOT of gas in them so having the clips to hold the injectors in place is nice when removing the rails. The car rails also hold some gas after being depressurised but, not much. Re: injector clips won't fit SVO injectors That's why I want to put them back on. I had my rail pop off my #8 injector and throw gas everywhere. Luckily I was in my garage and caught it or it could have been ugly. I will mess and get the clips to work.
Re: injector clips won't fit SVO injectors The clips will work. You may have had the injector incerted too far into the rail.. Make sure you use a lubercant on the O-ring and it will slide nice and easy and won't rip.
