We've got a bunch of family coming over this weekend so I only had a couple of hours to get the driver seat mount 100% done. I wasted the first half of the day @ a meeting and on the way home I picked up a Miller Plasma Cutter. Man I can't see how I cut parts before. I made 10 tabs for the driver/passenger harness, tabs for the seat support and finished up the seat mount inside of an hour or so. Sunday I am going to try and get the passenger side done and finish priming the cage with Dupont self-etch. I was initally worried about the strength of the seat mounts but after they were done and tied in, they are really strong. Our 43x" LSx is coming home tomorrow so we can start working on getting that ready to go into the car. I think the only two things we need is the converter, get the transbuilt, and the final shipment of small parts from Jason @ TSP.

My dad came over and said he liked how I mounted the seats. Said..."Your not gonna put a passenger seat in.....are you? I replied... "Hell yeah, Jessica needs a place to sit when we go out on the weekends. He laughed but I was ****in serious as a heart attack.

Do you have the seat sitting directly on the floor or is there something in between it and the floor, otherwise looks great.

I used some cheap seat mounts to hold the seats in place while I made the permanent mounts. They basically hover in the car.

Cool. The bottom of it doesnt flex any? When I had mine in the race car I built a small box out of angle iron with 4 holes drilled into it and bolted it to the seat and it was welded to the floor. This looks much more high tech.

After putting the seats in and adding the bolts the seat does not move an inch. I am very surprised at how strong these seat mounts are.

Kirkey makes a really good seat that is very rigid and doesnt move around at all.

Didn't get much done this past weekend. The passenger seat mounts are almost done, I still need to weld the washers onto all 4 mounts and weld them to the car. This week should be pretty good for progress.

LSx block is finally 100% done and its getting picked up wednesday - rings will be done thursday and probably assembled on sunday.

Heads are done @ the machine shop also, heads were drilled for 1/2" head studs, 3/8" studs and tapped

Game plan for this week:
Mount BS3
Finish left and right front control arms just need a center brace + travel limiters
Cut out the rear deck - plan on using sheetmetal + carpet for a rear seat delete
Cut out dash area removing windshield wiper box
Cut out/weld dash support bar need to remove some weight
Cut out A B and C pillars, A pillars need to be clearanced so the Plastic covers will side between the A pillar and the cage
Assemble Motor
Build front trans mount chassis mounts - using 1 5/8" chromoly tube for crossbar bolted to tabs mounted on frame
Swap out mockup motor for LSx and Et heads to finish header fabrication
Build mount for water pump for IC
Fabricate Mount for racepak
Fabricate mount for AMS-1000 boost controller

Looking into ordering:
Transmission components
Bolt together converter
SS for brake lines

Thanks for the heads up man, I ended up with a lightweight 16/12 volt unit. Is that a 16 or 12 volt?

Picked the motor up today and got it ready to be assembled. Didn't get much time to work but got a couple of small things tightened up.

I'm starting to put together the belt drive to power the fuel pump and the vacuum pump and have a couple of options. I'm starting to see space is going to be an issue. I made 4 - 1" standoffs that are going to get welded to the motor plate to mount the vacuum pump and fuel pump.

Fuel pump

Both on one

Seperate drive
