Default Need Gears Installed in IL

Looking for someone or a shop in central/southern Illinois that can do a gear swap on my TA. I have the 2.73's now and looking to step up to a 3.73. I got a couple inquirys and they were like $600+! I'm in Carbondale now but am frequently in Springfield. I'm willing to drive a decent distance to places like Champaign or St. Louis. Let me know if you or someone you know could do it. I have CASH!

Called that Mid State place today and they wanted $480 labor if I provided gears, install kit, and fluid.

That's rediculous.

Our labor starts at 175$ and I always figured that was right on par with what people normally charge.

That price is right inline with the 1200$ labor for a cam install I saw someone quoted.

You can pay a good price and have it done once or you can pay a cheaper price and take the chance that you might have to pay someone again to make it right. It's all in how much you feel comfortable risking. Midstate is the best in the area at what they do. Not the cheapest by any means.
