i am doing a similar combo...using domed pistons cut with L92 valve reliefs in an lq4. looking for 12.5-13:1 compression, L92 carbed intake w/injectors and healthy custom grind cam. should be a nice corn fed, pump gas motor.
Yep
Where did you get the carbed intake? What size injectors etc.. I might try this if FAST or another sponsor doesn't come out with a fairly cheap (~$1000) intake soon.
Pretty sad when we're all bitchin about roughly 500 rwhp on a street car with full accesories.... lol

..don't know if i should be sharing this , but i will be using GMPP's L92 carbed intake (drilled for injectors, part # ending in 16)...go to gmpartsdirect.com and search part number 34425516 (i think). gm claims that this intake needs little to NO porting for maximum gains. this intake is the answer to the infamous 6,000+ rpm SUCKAGE given with the L76. note the price of this intake - literally THE BEST intake for the L92 head and it is cheaper than a f'king ls6 intake. i am leaning toward ls7 injectors (also available from GM) as my 6.0 harness will clip right onto them. i am anticipating a 2 stage plate setup (somewhere ~200whp total) but i am not quite aware of the ls7 injector capability. should be a very strong "budget" motor utilizing the stock rods, block, and crank. having <$1,500 in hardware for a BADASS top end setup, i can use the extra money on **** like an EWP and 105mm accufab TB.

Do you know if this will fit under a fbody cowl w/o modification?

judging by its size, i think it MIGHT fit if you removed some of the **** under the cowl. i've seen vic jr. intakes fit with the same finesse.

you are not going to fit it... unless you put a carb style 4 hole TB on top..... and that means no plate kit.

Been there... done that!

I guess I'll be waiting until Weiand or FAST come up with the intake for these heads.
Thanks for the pics. Answered my question.

Good luck finding an intake to keep up with these flow numbers!
here are my L92 flow numbers.... pay attention to the increase from stock flow to ported... not the total number since many benches are calibrated differently and may differ.

Stock with 2.165" Chevy valve
.200 159/118
.300 226/155
.400 271/187
.500 310/204
.600 317/213
.650 317/216
.700 317/218

Ported with 2.125" Rev valve
.200 162/126
.300 238/174
.400 297/215
.500 335/233
.600 355/244
.650 359/246
.700 362/248

Flowed on 4.060" bore. No exhaust pipe.
