Hello everyone. I'm new to the LS1 powerplant. Not sure how the purists will take to this information, but my project is a 1972 240Z with an LS1/T56 conversion. Its still in the works. I'm here to learn what I can about this motor. My old motor (L6 3.0L stroker), with its 220 whp just wasnt doing the job, at my local road course (MSR Cresson, TX) Thought that adding an LS1 to a 2200 lb car, would do the trick hahaha

here's a few pictures of the Z.. (by next month it will have 275/17/45 wheels all around with flared fenders)

Here's a vid of the old motor.. now imagine this with 2 more cylinders, and more power.

Car looks nice, I have thought about selling my camaro a few times and building a Z with a 383 stroker and the 280YZ body kit. You will have to post pics of your progress!

Beautiful Z. I've always wanted one of these. A true Japanese classic with pure muscle power that you wont have to smog if you're in Cali. Maybe I should have considered this over my FD swap

thanks, my old 3.0L just wasnt enough power, and I'd rather stay N/A. The way a V8 fits in the old Z's, you wonder if a V8 wasnt invisioned haha

I want your damn car...
That's an awesome setup, much more appealing than an RB or SR somehow...(maybe not an RB26, but they're too damn heavy)
