2003 Z06 BLK/BLK – Cammed LS3
Year: 2003
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Corvette
Price: $16500
Mileage: 66303
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): TN
Color: Black
History:
I purchased this vehicle almost 7 years ago with around 27K miles. The cammed LS6 motor snapped its timing chain, not sure if its due to having the stock chain or aftermarket ASP pulley, but a crated LS3 engine was purchased as a replacement (the ASP pulley has been tossed).
For the first 5 years this car was my daily driver and the chips on the hood show it. The car has been in one accident when a vehicle crossed into my lane and scratched the driver’s side panel requiring the driver’s door to be replaced. I do have an image of the accident for reference - both cars were going the same direction at a low speed pulling up to a traffic light.
Both engine installation and body work were professionally repaired.

LS3 Crate Engine from GMPerformance (LS6 oil pan was used instead of LS3)

Start-Up Video:
Exterior: 6.5/10
Has a number of rock chips on the hood. There are a few blemishes in the clear coat but they are very small. None of the body has any broken or missing pieces. Other than the chips the car looks great - see video below.
Interior: 8/10
Drivers seat has some separation in the leather that has not grown in the past 7 years of ownership. All displays and switches work correctly.
Dynod 467/425 on a mustang dyno when the LS3 was installed with the cam. It does not have any codes.
*Will note that the transmission will occasionally grind going into 1st gear when downshifting UNLESS transmission is shifted into 2nd then 1st. It never grinds going into 1st if transmission is put into 2nd then 1st. (this seems to be a common issue with these transmissions that have higher miles)
Price of $16.5k is firm. Only trade I’m willing to accept is a stock CTS V Wagon + cash on my end. The vehicle is garage kept and located in Nashville TN. It is rarely driven and just taking up space.
I will take more photos in better lighting when I get a chance.
