Message me about title issue. I would want to put it back on the street.

This post is spot on. There are minimal aspects of the car that make it desirable over your garden variety Z28. It's an SS, the body does have relatively low mileage and it's from California so it isn't likely to be rusted out. That's basically where the bonuses end and the negative aspects of the car's condition start to accumulate.

How is she worth every penny? SS rollers aren't all that uncommon these days and typically go for half to one third of your asking price. If there is a legitimate reason to value the car that highly, I'm all for hearing it. Color combinations that are "limited" have been proven time and time again to have virtually no impact on the desirability of these cars. One can make an argument for Sunset Orange Metallic being desirable as people do pay a little more for that color. Even if that were an even lower mileage SOM SS with the CME option, no accidents and zero / minimal paint issues, I'd put your asking price on the outer edge of what's reasonable. Unless rollers go for allot more in The People's Republic of California than they do in Texas, I can't see any reason to pay that much for such a car.

Realistically, someone needs to bring wheels to even move it which makes it a pain in the *** to pick up from you. The original SS wheels are gone and run over $400-$500 for them in excellent condition as take offs and reproductions cost even more. The original engine is missing which hurts it's value if anyone had dreams of keeping it all original / numbers matching. It's got an accident record and a mismatched fender. These are things that devalue any car. Was the bumper cover even replaced as well? It looks like it might have had to be repaired, replaced and or repainted. One final note, tossing parts into the car like that makes the interior nasty, often leads to the interior getting dirty and can damage it if not done with great care. That interior could look like your average junk yard corpse car's interior for all we know. Lastly, SS cars aren't that rare and that's not really a car for hardcore collector's.

Good luck with the sale, I just don't think you are being realistic about the price. I paid about a third of what you are asking for a car without mismatched parts, with zero accidents that was missing the engine, transmission, radiator and original wheels. I get that it's a California car, but Texas isn't all that different in terms of the cars not getting turned into rusted out **** boxes. 3K seems too steep for that car and I'm not the only one saying so. Throw the transmission in, clean up that interior and throw some basic wheels on it so that it can be moved more easily and your price would make more sense.

Spamfritter brings up good points, harsh? Hurtful? Maybe but many valid points. What happen to the original ls1? Is it a clean non rebuilt title?

Plus it also says it is a parts car and unable to be registered. How is a car without a title worth anywhere near your asking price? If you still had the drivetrain in the car, you may be able to get close to $3k. With what is left, you can't even part the car to the bare bones to get $3k, unless you have $2,500cash in the glove box, you're price is way beyond ridiculous.

Good luck with your sale.

I'm sure the car could be registered after jumping through a mountain of hoops. That said, who would want to do all that and pay that kind of price?

with all due respect, if youre not interested in the car then dont reply.

the car is currently on c5 base wheels so now its a genuine 'roller'.

Bump.

i respect your opinion and you do make some valid points, however, they arent doing anything positive for me in the form of a response to my thread..a PM would have been much more respectful.

Sometimes cars have sentimental value that others wont share, which is fine with me. Obviously im not hurting for money; ive had this car for sale since february..if it takes me longer to sell, then so be it. Sometimes people wont let things go for anything less than a certain price and that is the case here.

again, i respect your thoughts..but they wouldve been more appreciated in the form of a pm..

What's the problem with the title?

Also, would you be willing to ship?
