.625 on the Ls9 vs .47x on the L92/LS3's. Plus the LS9 is made of the A356T6, (think C5r block). Also gets you 2.165 titanium Del West intake Valve and a 1.59 sodium filled exhaust valve. Hang tight, I just grabbed some pics of mine last night

Thanks. I have a set of ported 821's...

Will my SLP offset rockers fit the LS9's?

What're you doing about the head bolt size? Is there an ARP stud available?

I'm going to start out with stock size 11pm studs. As the dowels locate the heads to the block, it "should" work. If not, I have two options: both prevail to drilling and tapping he block.

Katech sells the ls9 12mm head studs for $300, or I can get 1/2" studs from Kurt Urban for $200.

Might as well do a little r&r first though for those interested, right? Worst case, the 11mm give me problems and I have the block tapped for bigger studs. the heads will see some decent boost, so itll be a good test of the 11mm studs on the ls9 heads

Maybe this is a crazy idea, but couldn't you use sleeves in the bolt holes to make up the difference?

I'll let you be the guinea pig first and see how it does. I'll agree though that they are a great deal regardless of the head bolt issue.

A 1mm sleeve might be a little hard to get a hold of in that length, ID, and OD.

I am game as well. I think LS9 heads with head studs will help me avoid "pushing water" with the block I have.

You're not understanding that right. I have yet to buy a set.

If I got it, Tim99ws6 bought his last set and was posting pictures in response to my questions about LS9 heads.

However, I am building 3 engines, which is what I usually do. Not sure what that has to do with this thread, though?

I was not sure, as they were still showing as available when Tim99ws6 posted pics. Thus the reason for ot (ie off topic infront of my post). Sorry to have bothered you, I dont want to add anymore clutter to this thread, if you wish to have any other correspondence with me regarding this issue please pm me. OP sorry for cluttering your thread.
