Default Carbon Firebird fender inserts

Category: Exterior - Body Parts
Price: $55
Part Fits: 93-02 Pontiac Firebird
Location (State): GA
Item Condition: Brand New
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

I made a set of these for my car, and I'm about to order 20 car sets. They are something of a reverse scoop, and IMO look 100 times better than the factory plastic honeycomb insert. I should get my car back from paint today so I'll have some installed pics tomorrow

These are made from dry carbon. Just want to see if there is some intrest before I get 20 car sets made. PM if interested. Thanks

Edit: Post #34 has new installed pics, Thanks Yurview!!

Oh yea, those were the first off the mold, just to see how the general design looked. The mold has been polished so they look a lot better now. More pics tomorrow, I cant wait to get my car back!!

In for the pics of them installed. More than I can afford, but I'm definitely curious how they'll turn out.

My guy told me $100 will be the max, but we are aiming for $75 a set. I'd rather be high and then come down. I also need to make 3 more car sets of molds to help bring the laminating/curing process cost down a little.

Would ABS just plain black plastic be cheaper (cost effective, not quality wise)?

ABS parts would be a bit cheaper, the mold would be alot more though. Plus we know carbon, it's what we do everyday and it's just better in carbon lol. Well they fit great and look good. I think they just need to be deeper maybe.

Yea that's what I'm thinking too. Right now they are about 3/8" deep, I think 1" would do it

totally dude, recess them as far back as you can and if you can incorporate lines across that would be an option.

SOMETHING LIKE THIS VVVVVV

$75 a car. Im not feeling a ridge, it would make such a small piece look to busy IMO. I am going to make them deeper and try to capture the curve that's on the fender.

Also, what about some matching ws6 hood grills? I'm looking for some stock ones now but was possibly going to make some in carbon fiber. I'm not using my ram air setup so they don't need to be opened up to flow air. Something like you made for the sides would work perfect!

I was just thinking how do they stick to the fender? DOes it have the retainers like the stock ones do or are we having to glue them in?

3M double side tape. I could do the hood inserts as well, but I have a firehawk hood so I would need some inserts to measure first. PM if u want to mail me some to measure
