This block is in decent shape except one cylinder has a score in it from a ring that broke. It will need to be bored to eliminate the scratch. I can send a bunch more pictures, just let me know. Block is located in the greater Detroit area. I have the crank and pistons as well if you are interested, full floating pistons. Crank will need machining on the rod journals. No cam, covers, or sensors included.
The story behind the issues here... I bought this block last year without inspecting the bores or bearing surfaces. Took it apart and found the scratch from the broken piston ring. Decided to just hone the block and try and run it. That didn't work it turns out. Was burning oil, and not running great on that cylinder. Rod bearings were ruined as well, low oil pressure. Crank and Cam bearings look great, and none were spun. I think oil was not getting to the rods properly, my theory is the oil pump failed in the idle pressure condition. The only issue with the block is the scratch in the cylinder. I figure, this is a good core for someone interested in punching it to 5.7L.
