LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

This thread is to allow forum members to offer their tools for rental. If you have a task-specific tool and you'd like to offer it for rental, list it here.

Here are the suggested GUIDELINES:

Owner:
- The tool should be in good and functioning condition
- Post a photo of the tool and the rental amount per week
- Ship the tool with tracking and insurance
- Provide the renter tracking information
- Converse via PM

- SUGGESTED rental rate is tool cost + shipping to the renter + your fee.

Renter:
- Upon agreement via PM, paypal the owner the requested funds
- Use the tool properly and respectfully
- Ship the tool at your cost within the agreed time frame with insurance
- Provide the owner tracking info
- Upon return of the tool to the owner (or, if the owner directs you to send it to the next renter), the owner refunds via paypal the original payment, less the shipping and fee

EXAMPLE: 250 LB-FT digital Snap-On torque wrench. Tool cost, $400.00, shipping, $25.00, fee, $35.00, total $460.00. Upon return of the tool, $400.00 is refunded.

LS1Tech assumes no responsibility or liability for any transactions or arrangements made for rentals initiated via this site, nor will we enforce any of these guidelines. LS1tech only offers this thread to connect owners and renters. All rentals, deals, exchanges and final terms are ultimately between the tool owner and renter.

This is a fantastic idea. Even though they would initially be paying for the tool I would still be hesitant.

Nice choice on the example too I work there and actually was the one doing those and the 100lb-ft wrenches lol

I need to rent a LSA/ZL1 blower dowel hole drilling jig. I believe Lingenfelter makes one, but I would rather not pay $175+ for a tool I will literally only use once.

Thanks guys!

Just use a 3 jaw puller. Your local auto parts store probably has rental tools. I just use a puller from Advance Auto. Its like a 4" and 7" 2 or 3 jaw capable.

I have a handful of tools I can rent if people are in need...

Nice Camshaft bearing removal and installation tool (adjustable mandrels - works for all engines)

Engine assembly tools - piston ring filer, micrometers, dial indicators, Rod bolt stretch gage, etc

Ball joint and tie rod shaft 7 degree reamer

Compression and leak-down tester

Very nice OBD2 scanning tool that can access all control modules across almost all makes and models of vehicles

Might buy the Goodson reluctor wheel tool if a few people can help me offset the cost?
