It's a whole shield that covers the bell housing and main housing of the transmission. It's made to fit snug over a 4l60e or a 700r4 without an trimming or modifying the tunnel.. It might cover an 80 or 400 but not correctly. I believe csr makes one for a 400 and an 4l80 as well but I'm not 100%.
