Default Can the 4l80e transmission fit in a g35

Hi guys i am doing a 5.3l v8 into a 03 g35 and I have been searching to find out if the 4l80e transmission fits into the g35. I saw 1 video where the owner mentioned he installed a 4l80e tranny into his 350z. But I don't know if there was any metal work done to fit it in. Any info wI'll help. Thanks in advance.

Good question. Not the same at all, but the 4l80e fit in my 240z tunnel with minimum clearancing with a hammer. I did have to cut a hole for the harness plug though

I imagine your tunnel is larger than mine is

I put one in a Cadillac CTS and it would have fit good but had to clearance quit a bit for the harness connection, shifter linkage and the transmission lines. Im talking a 12lb BFH. I suggest you go ahead and buy these line adapters.https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-641390 This way you can get the lines as close to the tranny as possible.

There's actually something that fits tighter than these, look up banjo fittings for 4l80e, it's what I used on the caddy, there about 80 bucks, but might be worth it if it saves you some room

Well I got the engine in with the tranny. The only thing. The engine sits foward. I had to get rid of the cx racing mounts and make my own. So I could lower the engine enough, so the tranny can be level. Which leaves me with next to no room for the radiator.

How much did you have to wail on the tunnel? IF at all? Any other particulars that are noteworthy?

OK. Guys. So what I had to do, was make my own engine mounts. I bought Cx racing mounts for the swap. But with the 4l80e being big. It was not sitting level. The front of the engine was to high .

I lower it as close to the steering rack. I had to notch the left side of the steering rack a bit, so the Cx racing oil pan will clear.

You will have to use bajo bolts for the Trans lines. You can fine it on eBay.

You will have to cut a hole in the tunnel on the driverside . So the harness can go through.

It was not so bad. I did this work on the floor of my garage. So if you have a hoist it will be a breeze.

My instagram is draggoneperformance.

I will be making a little video of all the steps I did. Once I get a proper Tune.
