Default 2000 trans am build with dyno numbers.

2000 trans am M6. 30k

- Performance mods. SLP 160 thermostat, performance plugs and wires, SLP flow pack intake, jet power flow MAF sensor, fast 92 mm big bore throttle body, fast 92 intake manifold, magna flow exhaust manifolds, direct fit flow master high flow cats, SLP 3 inch y pipe, SLP loud mouth exhaust, dei engine coolant additive, royal purple oil and k and n performance oil filter.

- Suspension mods. Bf Goodrich sport compact 2 tires, Koni str.t shocks, bmr lowering springs, umi front and rear sway bars, umi adjustable pan rod bar and umi tower bar.

- Audio system. Kee audio level 4 speakers, new factory 500 watt amp (kept original as back up) and pioneer self powered 250 watt sub.

- Appearance mods. Suncoast ram air hood customized for SLP flow pack intake, black firebird decals kit, bird center cap decal kit, SLP floor mats, SLP shift **** and tinted windows.

Performance review. Fast 92mm intake manifold is the real deal!! Car pulls hard through out entire rpms. I did not want to do long tubes with SLP loud mouth exhaust. So I decided I would do magna flow exhaust manifolds with 1.75 primaries. I picked up a noticable gain low end and mid range. Honestly these exhaust manifold are a nice piece. Very happy with the way the feels😀.

Suspension review. Bmr springs gave me the drop I was looking for. Koni str.t are great, not to hard not to soft. factory de-carbons suck. I can feel the road now and it sticks. Sway bars stiffened it up a bit. I feel very comfortable driving the car hard now.

Audio review. Kee audio speakers are basically direct fit and rock the house. I was very impressed and I have had my fair share Audio systems over the years. Sub filled the void perfectly.

Dyno Day it was 94 degrees and very humid. My tuner told me on a nice cool day max hp would be around 395ish. I'm happy with my numbers either way.

Big thanks to big three racing Hinckley Ohio, for some installation and all tuning. Thanks to Sam strano, Texas speed, summit racing, jegs, ws6 store, LS1 tech and members, Kee audio and classic industries for parts and all your much appreciated knowledge. Thanks again!!

Pics

Love the trans am! But I still love my s2000 with itbs a tiny bit more. Sorry. I love them both thou.

For some reason the smooth Bellow would not fit properly after the jet MAF was installed. Also my SLP tower bar would not fit with fast 92 mm intake manifold. I sold both on eBay.

Great looking car! With just bolt ons (I see no cam or head work in your list) no way will you make 395 like your tuner said...unless it's a SUPER generous dyno. In fact 350-360 is most common on your average dynojet dyno

Max hp was 386.5 real weather conditions. See dyno pic. The day the dyno was done it was 94 degrees outside and very humid. Tuner told me numbers would be higher if it was 65-70 degrees.

Right I realize that, I'm just telling you those are inflated numbers for what you have. Not trying to rain on your parade (Your car is gorgeous and I'm sure it performs great) just trying to inform you

If I do a cam package with a quiet cam. What cam should I go with. Would prefer low end power. What kind of hp gain would I get?

Quite a few cams fit the bill. A new design is out high lift hot cam. uses pac1218 springs and is super quiet underhood. pretty aggressive idle but drive easy made 10hp over the orig hotcam. you can reuse your stock prs or upgrade them also. On sale right now cam and springs are $500. cam springs and prs usually run $580 but on sale for $565.

Link for cam
