Default 86 Camaro 6.0/twins/ms3 Pro build thread

This will be a slow progressing thread because I'm a slow worker and doing everything by myself, but here goes.

86 Camaro drag car that I'm going to put back on the street. The car currently has a 12.5:1 355 SBC with brodix heads and all good parts(it'll be for sale complete when it comes out), PG with a brake, and a good 9".

I've gotten pretty much everything I need to get going.
-LS3 headed 6.0 with Callies rods and Weisco pistons.
-twin rev9 72/68's
-twin a/w IC's
-Bosch 210's
-MS3 Pro Evo
and a whole bunch of other assorted stuff

Here's some pics of the car now

Looks like a fun project. Have fun with it. That motor is going to be stout for sure

I hope so. I also didn't mention that it'll be on E85 too.

Should make the sbc seem like its going backwards!
I have the same 6.0 callies rods/weisco ls3 heads in my nova onlu on a single s475 and it goes real good

Looks like you have enough injector and turbo to get you to low 5s easily. Any idea on max rpm the turbos support. What is your target redline? Have you spec'd cam and valve train to get there?

I have no idea on rpm that turbos support, but they move plenty of air to get me where I wanna get. I'm planning on about 6700 redline. On the cam, I bought the motor complete, but it was already in a running turbo car and made 550 or so on 6psi. They went to 10 but never dyno'd it. Here's the cam card.

Always get the "Mullet" word on 3rdGens. I'd bet that car with it's with older setup would drag youre bolt on 02.

Cool build! Looking forward to results.

It ran 11.70's with the wrong cam(roundy round cam. alot of duration, but not alot of lift) leaving at 1800rpm off a footbrake.
The mullet thing doesn't bother me. Hell, I had a mullet back in the 80's

I have never got over how ugly SBC and BBC engines are. Glad to see your going LS. It will be quite a bit faster!

Haha. I've never thought of them as ugly, but then again, I've been around them for 35-40yrs.

Do you have dyno chart of the motor/cam combo showing peak torque curve and where power started to roll over?

No. I'm not too worried about it. I'll adjust the convertor and/or gearing to suit it. This car will be much more to the strip side of street/strip
