Default bolt ons, ls6 cam, nitrous = 10s

Took me all day today, but I finally got my first 10 second pass. Made 8 passes at Milan's No ET event. It was 80 degrees and I'm positive I could hit 10s in cooler weather on a 100 shot. First 2 were on a 100 shot and were 11.13 and 11.10 with 1.55 60's. 3rd pass I spun to a 11.35. 4th was a motor pass because I ran out of nitrous - 11.74 @ 113 on taller 28" tires. Filled the bottle, tossed in the 150 jets, go 1.51 60' then ride the limiter after first gear. I think the SS4000 can't handle 150 so I put the 100 back in. Go another 1.51 60' and ride the limiter again. Realize I forgot to put the shifter into D3 after doing my burnouts in D2. GRRRRR. Go back up, and the temp seems to be going down a bit. Go 1.53 60' and 11.04 @ 122. Toss the 150 jets in for one last "make it or break it" pass. Go 1.49 60' and 10.88 @ 122.45. Of course my phone and go pro are dead so I didn't get it on video . Trans has a delayed 2-3 shift in d3 on nitrous. I did make a pass in OD and it was much better, so I'll have to look into it.

11.10 pass inside

11.10 pass outside

Nice job man. That is fantastic.

BTW, I've made the same mistake not shifting out of 2nd after my burnout. Pretty embarrassing starting off in 2nd gear.

Thank you Sir! Definitely embarrassing. I was so anxious about the spraying 150 the first time that it slipped my mind. Hit the top of first and the car breaks up popping and banging. I'll post a couple videos, lol.

Here are the videos of me leaving in D2. Both 1.51 60' and both would have been 10 second passes.

Very nice runs congrats on hitting 10s.

Any nitrous issues on the 10 sec pass? You picked up 9 mph on a 100 but only 9.5 on a 150.

Good eye!
No issues with the nitrous. I just don't have my setup ironed out.

The car shifts at 6400 1-2 and 6500 2-3. On 100, I had the window switch set to 6300. 1-2 shift was clean and the nitrous was off for .4 seconds while the engine took it from 6300 to 6500 to make the 2-3 shift.

On the 10 pass, I lowered it to 6200 (scaredy cat, I know lol). 1-2 shift was still quick because it goes by so fast, but the motor took 1 full second (hp tuners log) to go from 6200 to 6500 for the 2-3 shift. Then the nitrous shut off about 1 second before the finish line when I hit 6200 again. Not sure how much et I'll gain, but it will gain some mph by raising the limit and getting the 2-3 to happen sooner.

Looks like the Mickeys hooked up good. Did you feel any spinning? Or did they dead hook?

I only felt spinning on one pass. The first 2 passes with 1.55 60' didn't feel like they dead hooked, but didn't feel spinning either. The 1.53, 2 1.51's, and 1.49 felt like a dead hook.

I borrowed these from a friend whose car goes bottom 10s. I think he goes mid low 1.4 off a transbrake and 200 shot in a 3600# car pulling both wheels.

Oh, they're 3 years old. I'm sure a new set would do even better. My next tires will be the 28x9 pro bracket radials on my centerlines.

Do you have a separate tune for nitrous or are you using the Nitrous Outlet control box to retard timing?
