Default Trying to finish up the pieces of my junk yard 6.0 turbo Colorado.

I run a salvage yard, so I have access to a ton of LS parts. I picked up a core lq4 from a 2006 Silverado 2500 as well as a core 608,000 miles 4l80. Core engine ended up being trashed, so I bought another complete lq4 that runs. 157,000 miles. It’s on the stand now. Picked up a set of 799 heads

my plan (help me if I’m wrong, I was a VW tech for 9 years, this LS stuff is foreign to me) I have been reading non stop for 3 weeks trying to figure out what to use. Lq4 bottom end install arp main stud kit, and rod bolt kit. ARP head studs New oil pump, pick up tube and oil pan from a v8 Colorado. 799 heads, LS9 cam, pac valve springs, hardened push rods, new lifters, 08 Tahoe 5.3 intake,LS9 head gaskets.

Transmission is already at the trans shop for a rebuild and trans go valve body kit and seal kit install. Hopefully this sounds ok so far. I have the majority of it already. Trying to figure out what injectors, to do with for a 70mm turbo set up. Seems like the bottom end will hold 7-800HP no problem. Will the v8 Colorado engine mounts bolt to the 6.0 block? What rear end are the Colorado guys using? Anything else you can think of to do while it’s apart? Is my 7-800hp goal out of range?

Agree, 90% of your list is unnecessary and im prob lowballing it. Follow the sloppy recipe and get a good tune. You cant go wrong.

On another note i believe a 70mm turbo will be on the small side? Whats the exhaust side specs? It may choke out before your goal, but 500-600 wheel is still stout on the street

What year is the lQ4? Ideally you want something with the gen 4 internals .

Good question! I seen 06 but that was the first engine. What was trashed about the first engine? May could use the pistons and rods
