Sorry to be the bearer of bad new but those trunions need to go in the trash. Bet they've started to fail already. Just google comp trunion failure. I took a set off my 650 mile built LS3 and they had started to fail and send metal flakes into the motor in that short of a period, along with visual confirmation that the trunion metal itself was pitted and flaking. I took mine out and threw them in the trash. Pressed in a new set of bronze bushings and good to go.

Sure is not good news for the hundreds if not thousands of people who installed these Comp Cams kits in their engines. How many of the failure are due to improper installation of the trunion kit or loose clearances on the rocker arms itself? Sure it's likely that some of these kits did fail earlier than normal..but mine look fine. Still for sale. If they don't sell,, oh well, I'll use them on another build. Thanks for the look..

Have you actually disassembled any of these and checked the trunion wear surface itself? If not you have no idea if they "look fine". Do that and report back.
