Default Forged stroked LQ4 Nitrous Kit recommendation

Hi All,

I've never touched nitrous before so thought it best to canvas some opinions before I take the plunge!

I have a Gen3 LQ4 with forged stroked Crank, Rods & Pistons and fully ported L92 heads. At the moment it has a standard LS3 Cam with FAST102 intake, Fast fuel rails and 39lb Pico injectors, 90mm Jenvey TB, MSD Coil near plug, Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and a fully programmable ECU.

The car is mainly a street car with very occasional show events at a strip.

I'd like to add a 100 shot system but do not know where to start, if possible I'd like a progressive system rather than "all or nothing". I'd like to buy a complete kit with everything required including switches and a gauge.

What would you guys recommend?

Many thanks,

SF

No need for a progressive setup for just a 100 shot. A single nozzle wet kit will be your cheapest and easiest option for such a small shot. I like Nitrous Express and Nitrous Outlet myself

You can't go wrong with our 102mm plate system. You will get great performance as well as looks out of this system. It can spray up to 400hp so it also leaves you with plenty of room to grow.

Additionally, I'd recommend one of our accessory packages, a window switch and a way to pull timing. Check out the links below:

With a set of Br7EF spark plugs, this would make a well accessorized, consistent and safe system. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

+1 on a nitrous outlet plate system for your needs/wants... it'll be cheap and easy. Nitrous Express Maximizer would be my vote on the progressive controller, easy to use and wire, user friendly interface, lots of features for the money.

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the info. The plate system does seem to tick all the boxes along with an accessory package.

It would also seem that your ProMax controller will allow a progressive delivery system which I would like. Could you please confirm how the additional fuel would be controlled though? I will have a fully programmable ECU (DTA S80 Pro) so don't know if this ECU needs some sort of signal from the ProMax to deliver more fuel or if the additional fuel is added via the plate?

I'm currently using FAST 39lb Pico injectors, will these be sufficient for the additional fueling or should I change them?

Many thanks.

If you go with the plate above you would not need new injectors the plate will put the fuel in through the plate just need enough pump for the power your making.

On that system, the fuel is injected through the plate itself. The system comes with everything needed to tap into your existing fuel supply. You don't need to worry about injectors, just the fuel pump. It needs to be able to support the motor and the additional hp being added through the plate.

Definitely do a plate kit. You'll end up spraying a 175 before you know it. My favorite window switch is the nos mini progressive controller. Its both window and progressive.
