How to DATALOG LNC-2000 ignition retard on HPTuners
The Lingenfelter LNC-2000 retard/launch control box says that you can use the one wire (gray, I believe) to log actual spark retard via your HPTuners, using one of it's external inputs, yet I haven't had any luck whatsoever finding a link, video, thread, or whatever, explaining how to do it.
Has anyone done this, or is anyone able to point me in the right direction as to how to set it up?

have you tried the lingenfelter product forum? http://www.lingenfelter.com/forum_li...lter/index.php

I have attempted and never got a consistent signal. What I do is activate the box without any nitrous and see the power drop on the dyno. Once power drops, I pull the timing on the file without activating the box and see if it matches, once it matches I find the exact amount of timing it pulls. Other than that, good luck.

I know since I recently removed my whole turbo setup, I wanted to race this past weekend, but didn't have any way to connect any sort of air tube/box, whatever. I ran with an open throttle body and simply unplugged the IAT sensor, rather than have it hanging around the top of the intake...
First pass I datalogged and saw the ECM added like 3 degrees to my WOT timing.
Thought it was a fluke until I also noticed that with IAT unplugged, it defaulted to reading -38 degrees Fahrenheit, which added the 3 degrees (and extra fuel) in.
The LNC-2000 alters the timing after the ECM, so there's no way for it to read on the scanner unless you can figure out how to connect it to the HPTuners "dongle".
It's OUTPUT registers 0-3 volts, to mimic the 0-15 degrees of retard....That "should" mean that each DEGREE = .2 volts
I just do not know how to set that up as a "user defined" parameter...

I just set mine up. I have mine wired into input 2 on my cable. The formula is [30002.10]/.2
I also set up a math parameter that takes advance and subtracts the timing being pulled so you can see what your actual timing is at. The formula for that is [14.161]-([30002.10]/.2)+.15
The .15 was for a little bit of voltage drop.
Hope this helps.

Although I cannot seem to find CAM SENSOR COUNTS anywhere in the scanner parameters?
I added every camshaft related parameter and the Math Parameter shows PINK highlighted for 3010, which means it isn't being logged? Any idea?
***** DISREGARD...I just realized that you left a zero out on the top formula.

Sorry about that! I actually noticed I did that and forgot to change. I edited it so maybe it can help others in the future, I also had a hard time finding a write up on how to do it when I was looking.

Still ZERO help on this from the actual HPTuners Forums
Glad some of you here help one another...

I did have one issue that’s worth mentioning. When logging in the channels section only log voltage for that input. I entered the math formula trying to show degrees instead of voltage and it started acting crazy. It would flash back and forty showing advance and timing pulled constantly. Let me know if it works out!

I still have not tried it...although my LNC-2000 and all related wiring is done, aside from the grey wire to the dongle.
I downloaded the latest BETA version of HPTuners and the standalone datalogging reads/records all my parameters again...
I did notice that even with nothing connected to it, the "N20 Retard" reads 1.48v...I guess as a default?
Can't test the nitrous retard until I swap in a new pair of knock sensors. Over the weekend, I got a random 8 degree KR a handful of times for no apparent reason. Also got a DTC P0332, Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input (Bank 2). New sensors should be here today. AC Delco 213-3521 is what I ordered.

Just wanted to THANK YOU again! Works great on my car.
I attached 3 CHART VIEWS of the same datalog...
1 showing SPARK ADVANCE, as set, and seen, in PCM/HPTuners
2 showing NITROUS RETARD degrees, reading directly off of LNC-2000 gray wire.
3 showing ACTUAL NITROUS TIMING, also read directly from LNC-2000 gray wire
I have LNC set to progressively retard timing, and YES, timing is way low, but car seems to love it...
200hp jetted Nitrous Outlet plate setup, 78N/28F, setup to turn 2nd fuel pump, LNC retard, and engage solenoids, at same time.

Hope not to bore ya, but here's the rundown...
It's been through an expensive, mostly un-necessary nitrous parts swap fest, LOL...
It is untested with the current nitrous setup. It is a modded/retrofitted 04-06 GTO 400hp kit
The car HAD a rear mount 76mm turbo, which had a ton of lag... best of 10.85@137 with a 2.00 sixty foot, LOL
Bought a dry kit to help it spool, but since it is a bracket car, and had zero consistency run to run with the turbo, I decided to remove and sell the complete turbo setup....so, now (@3885# race weight w/driver) running mid 12's Naturally aspirated, with a low compression 6.0 built for a turbo, sans the turbo, lol...very mild Bullet turbo cam (only pulls to 5500 or so), but nice CNC TrickFlow heads, new Dorman LS2 intake, and WARR 92mm TB (combined, both were good for 3/10ths). BBK longtubes, Jakes 4L80E with turbo spec'd 3000 stall, and 3.73 gears
I "had" 200 jet in the nozzle, using -4 feed line and small, basic Nitrous Outlet X series solenoids, which flow quite a bit less than the big solenoids I now have. Purge solenoid is same size as the "old" solenoids...
I removed the nozzle and installed my current 92mm Nitrous Outlet plate, and first nitrous pass, the car went 11.24@121 with 1.57 sixty foot, footbraking
Brandon, from Nitrous Outlet said the small -3 line that came with the old kit, wouldn't even flow 200hp nitrous shot, as it was...so rather than buy some more pieces and parts, sold the nozzle setup as a 90% complete kit and stepped it up a bit.
It now has the hardlined big solenoids, -6 feed, purge, and pressure regulated bottle heater.
It "feels" a good bit stronger, and now the nitrous "hits" like a carb'd plate kit does...which is pretty hard.
The nitrous flows so well, that I could only hit it a few times before having to swap some jets...
The other day's 200hp nitrous jetting, (since changed), used to give a very rich AFR of 10.8:1, but now was at 13.8:1, lol...
If it doesn't go 10's next time, I'd really be surprised...
