I have a 4l80e built by rossler. Two years of abuse and never skipped a beat.

I have a 6L80E in my 2010 Camaro 416 Cu In w/ 760 RWHP rebuilt by Circle D Transmissions of Houston, TX. Ran 190 MPH at Texas Mile and have put 15,000 miles since 12/2013. Still very solid shifts.

Assuming you want to work within your trucks pcm, then 4l80e is your only option.

If your on a budget, go with a stock 4l80e with a hd-2 shift kit and a good converter.

If money isnt a problem, id recommend one of jakes 4l80e. Best man around with the 80e trans!

I'd go with the best 4l80 you can afford. I'm running a stock 80e in mine with zero issues yet.

Hopefully its the new 7675 and not the 7665, otherwise that camshaft is going to hold you back badly.

4L80e is the only way to go, especially on a budget.

I built my own 4l80e using performance clutchs and some billet stuff. Used a jakes 4l80e shift kit with the dual apply mod it describes. It is one of the easiest transmissions to rebuild in my opinion. You can find the rebuild manual on pirate 4x4 if you just do a search. Did a ptc converter. I have beat this thing to death and it just laughs. The billet stuff wasnt needed but for my plans it was a good idea. Im going to be putting 2.10 gear in my 4l80 and redoing a 400 for a friend soon maybe ill do a diy thread if everyone is interested.

Just curious how much power/weight it's handling? I see some that say 1500rwhp - 2000rwhp but haven't heard anyone back that up in a car that's actually used on both the street and track

My car had 20000 hard miles on it when i had my accident with 1000whp by my estimate. It made 770 on 10 pounds on the dyno. I added an extra pump anf bigger injectors and turned it up track and street tuned to 18 pounds . It never missed a beat. Im changing things up with only the gear change in the trans and hope to hit 1500 whp this trip around.

I have a gmpp 4l85e with a circle d converter. I would’ve went with jake, but I didn’t want to wait. It’s been 15k miles and doesn’t skip a beat. I love the way it shifts
