Default 82 C10 Carbureted 6.0L/400 trans questions

If anybody has ran this set up. Am I going to need any special linkage for the carburetor and trans to make this work? If so can you steer me in the right direction? First swap doing it alone!!

No linkage between the engine and trans needed. You will need a vacuum line for modulator operation (unless you run fixed line pressure but that's a totally different conversation)

You will obviously need shifter linkage
you will obviously need throttle linkage

throttle linkage I have no good info on.

A c10 should be setup to handle the shifter linkage on a th400 as-is

Another thing to think of is the dipstick. Make sure that when installed, you drop the pan and VERIFY dipstick reading. You want the FULL mark to be even with or 1/4" above the pan rail. The pan rail is the flat surface the pan bolts to on the case.

Don't these require a kick down switch?

Require? No

You can use one...many people don't.

Just pull the shifter back into 2nd gear if you really need that passing gear.
