Default Jeep Grand Cherokee steering box - which PS pump?

Is there a better power steering pump I can use with the JGC box or will the stock one which came on my '02 LM7 work just fine? Not looking to make a race car but just want something with a nice feel to it.

That pump should work. Feel is more a function of the box, not the pump.

you might consider dropping the pump pressure if you don't like how much assist it has ( a lot )

Do the truck pumps have more pressure then the corvette pumps? I'm running a jeep box with LS1 corvette pump and my assist is absolutely perfect with no restriction installed.

No idea which ones operate at what pressures, but I feel like all LS truck pumps give way too much assist. But careful how much pressure reduction you put in, it can make assist at idle rpm non existent.

This may be off topic, and i hate to seemingly hijack this, but.. I have a CPP500 series gear box and i did an LS swap, using the factory LS1 pump, and somehow my power-assist diminished, instead of increasing. I didnt change, alter, or touch anything in the steering during the swap, so same box/steering before and after, and the LS motor/pump came out of a running car that I drove and the pump worked great. So the pumps working. But how is it possible that using an LS pump my assist when down, by comparison to the SBC pump? (I've bled the sh*t out of the system several times, on several occasions). Thanks,
Kyle
