Default 99 Trans Am VIN Locations

Other than underneath the windshield on the driver side and on the driver side door jamb, where can the VIN be found?

There should be a decal on the driver's door with the VIN and RPOs. I do not know if the VIN (or a derivative thereof) is stamped anywhere else on the car like has been done in the past (engine, trans, frame, etc.) on the 4-th gen F-body, I would think so though.

It's also stamped and covered with a translucent blue tape under the weather stripping on the passenger side windshield pillar. Same on a seam under the rear bumper cover where two body panels come together.

Also on the drivers side of the transmission, and the rear drivers side corner of the engine block. They are all stamped dot matrix style in these locations.

Good info ghardester, thanks. This is the first time I've seen VIN stamping on the body and drive-train discussed on these forums.

Appreciate the info, guys. It's good to know to make sure a car in question is legit (like a stolen car with a swapped VIN, for example).
