Default 4l60e sonnax Kit + corvette servo now no reverse! HELP!!!

Ok so I just installed a sonnax hp-4l60e-01 along with a Vette servo and a transgo separator plate. Buttoned it off and topped the fluids off. Backing out and driving it you could tell the shifts were firmer. I let it warm up so I can check the fluids and go to back it out and nothing. No reverse. You don’t even feel the trans grabbing reverse it’s like it’s in neutral. In D you can feel it grab. What did I do?

Check all electrical connections. Maybe a loose plug or ground

So you think just drop the pan and recheck electrical connectors? Any idea which one for reverse?

On the back of the valve body there is a plate that you bolt up with the separator plate that has (3) 8mm bolts. Im guessing those are loose and will result in no reverse

it's not electrical if you have all other forward gears

I remember the plate on the valve body with 3 bolts. That’s the forward accumulator correct? I did the Pinless from sonnax and tightened the bolts down. Maybe it’s in wrong?

Ok so I’m praying this is it. I dropped the pan and noticed the boost valve was down and the clip apparently didn’t seat. Could this cause no reverse?

I remember tightening 53 down. Prob put it up and down 5 times lol. So the boost valve has two slots for the c clip. I put it in the first one and was amazed how easy it went in.... well after pushing the piston in I noticed another farther in the bore... now I remember when I pulled it out that it was a good was in there... gotta button it up and top the fluid back off and see what she does. Trans is a year old so I would hate to replace it

Glad you got it going! I misunderstood your first post and thought you had NO forward OR reverse, hence my electrical connection guess. Sorry for misleading!

Which engine do you have? Any mods? Don't go overboard on the cam... a little goes a long way with LS's

Well now I have another issue. The sonnax servo cover o-ring was a smaller gauge then the stock one. I get to work this morning and I can smell the trans fluid burning off my exhaust so sure enough it’s dripoing from the cover. I can’t get under there enough to inspect it until I get it back home. Could it just be that it’s the wrong o-ring? Praying the snap ring didn’t come loose but the trans is shifting fine in all gears. 2002 Escalade lq9. Dynatech long tubes. Either a BTR Stage 2/3 truck or I found a fti streetsweeper tq 220/224 lsa 111 that I might grab local.

Just spoke to sonnax and they said that they don’t supply a servo cover o-ring so what I have installed is def not correct. I’ve done a half dozen of these servos but my first shift kit with it. You always have to cut the o-ring to get it out so kinda sucks they don’t provide one in the kit. Just internal seals for the servo. Gonna baby it to a trans store and pick up a new o-ring and head home to see if this fixes it...

No sweat, man! I'm sure you've seen some of my less-than-diplomatic posts, usually due to a kneejerk reaction. It happens!
