Default Advice on ls1 twin turbo carb set up

Hi I’m new to this ls scene, so far I like what I hear. I am currently planning out my twin turbo build with my 2005 ls1 5.3 motor. I just want to start off by saying I would like to be in the 1000hp club on pump gas. I am looking for some different opinions and combos. I am wondering what kind of bottom end to go with, piston style, flat top, dished... best cyl heads for the job, what kind of forced induction cam and specs, how big of a carb for my blow thru setup and also what size turbos would be sufficient? Just wanna get pointed in the right direction so I can start hunting down the right parts. Thank guys much appreciated.

I hate to be that guy but 5.3, pump gas and 1000hp are not really a reasonable plan in my opinion. Can it be done maybe but do yourself a favor and if 1000hp is super important do a 427 lsx. It will take far less boost to do 1000hp and be more driveable.

I didn’t think it was a very realistic goal. What would be a goal that is achievable with a 5.3? Where can I get info on a build sheet or some options and combinations on what to use in this motor? Any info would help

Id say go to the sloppy mechanics wiki and read it all. That is the bible for "stock" 5.3 and stuff. They have made 650 rear wheel pretty regularly. If you havent ever been in a 600 whp vehicle it is alot. Then move up from there.

Do sloppy have details on their builds? Hard to find specifics on these build ups.

Matt (Denmah) puts all of the details out there for all of his builds (including free tunes) and does youtube videos of them. If you can't find it, you aren't looking very hard.
