Default Trans swaps

I have a 04 v and trans is bad I found one out of a 2010 camaro will it bolt in with no problem

If its a Tremec T56 I believe it should work. But wait until someone more knowledgeable comes by and confirms.

The CTS-V has a specific T56 fitment. A T56 from a different platform will not be a direct swap. I believe the main difference is the shifter configuration, which may require a different tailshaft housing. (I think that's the right term.)

Could also require a different pilot bearing, like my tranzilla does due to input shaft length difference.

Sorry to hijack post....but Byron I've got a tranzilla and I used the stock pilot bearing on my 04. Which bearing did u use?

I ended up needing to use the F body style as the input shaft tip was ever so slightly longer.

It's the one that sits inside the crank vs sitting flush with the crank.
