I am working on a cam swap and this truck has 873 casting heads.
These heads do not have a replaceable valve spring locator and the factory guide boss is to large OD to fit the ID of the aftermarket valve spring.
Is there a drop on valve spring for .580 lift cam for these heads?

Got any pictures?

The ID on a lot of the single beehives are about 7/8". It's hard to believe these heads have a guide with an OD larger than that.

Can you swap them for a set of 317 heads ? those 873's are the iron head version of the 317's I believe
Or for a little more compression get some 243/799 heads
