Default 5.3 turbo build input

Well it started about 3 weeks ago and im needing some input for a build. I want to make as much hp as possible while keeping the engine reliable. so if 1000 is that number than great but realistically with the amount of money im spending i really would be disappointed with anything less than 800whp. I picked up a junkyard 5.3 with 706 heads. so far the parts i have gotten are a set of 6.125 k1 technologies .927 wrist pin. My arp studs arrived today for mains and heads. Im dropping the block off for square deck the block, line bore main journals, deck plate bore, and then new cam bearings obviousy. going .20 over for for 3.800 bore. im sticking with stock 3.622 stroke. i decided on a set of pistons. apparently the are back ordered but anyway Wiseco K474M965 was the decision which are flattop 2.2cc. my questions are amongst alot of them. What heads would be good for this setup? can i run the 706 and get my hp im wanting? or i saw genx 215 64cc head. btw i will be tuning on e85.

The 706 heads will be fine. As long as the motor is machined and assembled correctly, it will be reliable around 1000whp.

What turbo?

Currently I don’t have a turbo, I bought. Junkyard longblock and am starting from the ground up. So it’s all up in the air. 76-78mm turbo is kind of what I was thinking

Already spent too much for 800hp and I wouldn't even bother with aftermarket heads for 800hp. Just get a decent turbo and be done with it.

If you're putting that much into the engine then yes 1000 is easily attainable and it'll live there for a long while with a good tune on E85. You looking at single, twins?

Planned on the single route. Plan to stick it in a Vega or a g body

S480 or larger would fit the bill nicely.

How fast are you trying to go? The weight difference between the vega and g-body can be quite a bit.
