Default LS6 cam?

Looking at buying a stock ls6 cam and found this one for sale. It is stamped 5308, however, the stamping on the end is nothing like the other stock ls6 cams I've seen. All the others had a different stamp on the end with a small 2d barcode.

Anyone else seen one like this?

I just googled 5308. 12565308 is the actual number of an LS6 cam for a 2002-2004 engine 204/218, .550/.550, 117.5 LSA. Source- Summit

That may be, but here is a pic on one actually pulled out of an LS6 engine, see the difference?

If you look around on eBay or Amazon you will find some knock offs for sale, that's probably what it is

It might be how GM marks its GMPP parts. They are not going into production engines, so are cataloged a different way.

youre right of course, but I'm running a stock s10 4l60e and converter with my 5.3 build. I'm not looking for too much over stock power levels. Also, i'm cheap, so there's that.

Yeah I've had a stock OEM 5308 LS6 cam, and that cam in the first pic is not a GM cam. Some sort of knock off or reproduction. I'd pass on it.
