Default Retrofitting '96 V6 Camaro hood

Hi All,

Apologies but I've given up on the search bar and roaming through countless specific forum pages. I can't seem to find these "many" threads addressing my concern - retrofitting a LT style hood to my 2000 SS. Hopefully this is the correct forum?

Anyway, I've got a '96 V6 donor car I will be using to replace the front clip of my 2000 SS. I understand my stock ram-air lid will not work with the '96 hood and I've read a couple threads that claim they've come up with something that works but I haven't seen the proof myself.

Does anyone have any confirmation on what aftermarket CAI would possibly work with little modification? Could anyone lead me in the right direction with perhaps a link or picture they know of? Could the K&N for the LT be made to work with the LS? I know the fuse boxes are placed differently between the two body styles but just curious if anyone has tried.

Currently, I'm planning to relocate my battery to the spare tire space. I was thinking, if nothing else, I could have a custom intake fab'd to run to where the battery currently sits.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks!

Taylor
