LS power steering pump to A-body

LS power steering pump to A-body I have a LM7 5.3L swap that's going into a '64 Skylark. Almost everything I have sourced is a replacement for the donor 2006 Silverado engine. I have a new PS pump and I would like to know if anyone else has used this setup in a GM A-body WITHOUT using a rack and pinion conversion kit, and kept the conventional steering geometry and setup.
Of course I would have to come up with host fabrication but that I can take care of.
I have all new parts for the front end with the exception of the steering cylinder. Everything else I have is new to include a high ratio gearbox from CPP.
I also have a four-wheel coil ever set up from Aldan American.
My main thought was trying to save $600 on a new rack and pinion conversion.
