- Those "new" tires have been discontinued for several years now. The date code on them says 2019. Not horribly old, but not "new" as claimed.
- Engine bay has some rough spots for the mileage. Lots of paint wear on the shock towers, I wonder why? That could be touched up, but it's more than just a need for detailing there.
- Driver's seat wear seems a bit much for such low miles.
- Why did it need a new top at such low miles if it was always garage kept? I think it spent plenty of time outside in the sun at some point in it's life, which would also explain the highly faded "Trans Am" script on the rear center tail panel.
- Yuck on that touch screen radio, but at least it comes with the original.
- The aftermarket white faces gauges don't fit right. Not sure if it's a sloppy install or just a poorly manufactured gauge face, either way it's a highly visible flaw every time you're sitting in the driver's seat.
- Interesting that someone changed the exhaust tips to the standard V8 Firebird/TA version from 1993-97. I think we had just talked about these tips in another thread recently. Wonder if anything else was changed with the exhaust (I didn't see any undercarriage photos).
- Someone also put some aftermarket chrome locking lug nuts on; I hope the key comes with the car.
Overall, decent example but not $36k decent by any means, IMO. I would assume it had more like 70k miles, at least, as presented. In fact, I think NC01TA and this seller should switch odometers as it would appear more accurate!
LOL! Thanks.....You sure see things I never notice. People should pay you to analyze a car before buying it.After what you noticed on this car, it makes me think the car is worth much less than the asking price. No way the top should have been replaced with those miles unless vandalized or similar. You are right about the FL sun probably destroying the original top while left outside. The seat also does not look very appealing for a car described as 'excellent'. The owner or prior owner must be large or heavy, or just rough going in and out. I'm usually around 165 -170 pounds, so that might matter, because my seat looks way better with more than double the miles. Good catch on the rear Trans Am panel too. Again, too much sun or excessive waxing/polishing.
