Transmission Builder or someone with know how!!

Hey fella's!

Well I just sharted my tranny!

I dont know if its all that bad though.. Its still got first and second gears, and when pushed over 4000rpm and 60mph is will go into 3rd. With little to no holding power, and 4th is completly gone..

Is been this way for around 2 weeks now, and its still strong in 1 and 2

So, I had a transmission guy look at it. He seems to think thte 3-4 clutch pack is gone! So I ordered a Zpack 3-4 system, I also have a manual valvebody, new gasket and filter!

Im a poorly college student and wanted to see if there was someone in Georgia that was willing to help out a friend! Maybe some beer or something of hat nature invovled

I can provide some monetary value as well, just not the money there looking for around here..!

You're going to need more than just a 3-4 clutches and a manual valve body. The whole thing needs to be gone through.

You think? Well I was thinking that if something had let loose, that it would have shredded the tranny pretty bad, but it everything operates fine except for the shift into 3rd and 4th!

I dont knwo much about trannys...

I just know if its going ot be over 800 or so bucks.. Im going to fork out the extra cash and go with a M6 swap...

I agree. If you're gonna go into it, upgrade the sunshell, stack extra clutches with thin steels, wide band, etc...Otherwise, it'll just **** on you again...

Well I guess It would have help to stat that this is a BUILT transmission, all hard metal parts have been upgraded, 28 element sprag, sunbeast shell, kevlar bands, etc...
