My fiance and I were on our way to church sunday evening when this late 80s mustang GT comes rolling up on us really fast. It sounded real nice but I couldn't tell what he had done to it. and then we just happen to catch the next red light so I opened up the cutout just to let him know I was game...

He rolls his window down trying to talk to me but I keep mine up and just keep looking ahead, watching the light. It turns green and I live him BAD at the light and then I let off thinking he wasn't into , but then I see his front end jump up and hear it, so I get back into it and it downshifts back into 1st and took off(thank God for good tires and traction bars) I immediatly stopped his pull and pulled 3 truck lengths on him till about 80when I let off for traffic up ahead.

 

Nice kill, but why didn't you talk to him? You probably came off as kind of a dick.

that was my 1st mustang kill...now I'm trying to get my buddy to race me in his 07 gt auto, but he has drivin my truck and he thinks I'll win.

but hopefully next time we go to the track he'll take it and we can find out.

I looked over at him and smiled before we raced i didn't totally ignore him. and he knew I was ready to go, because I had the cutout open and was stalling it up so he knew it. If he was asleep at the light thats not my fault.

It doesn't bother me 1 bit if someone doesn't look over or has a cocky grin on their face. Who doesn't go into a race without a cocky grin? If you don't have a cocky grin on your face you must think your going to lose. How many races do you go through with knowing your going to lose from the start. I think there are more "Mustang owners are dicks" threads than either of the two you posted. Obviously not everyone falls into that category, but to call someone a dick you would at least have to talk to them. This is a completely different story. I mean, come on, the mustang is wanting to race a truck...
