Flash sigs
#3
But whats the reason? File size? Distracting from sponsor banners? Just plain gaudy?
I think a flash sig with scrolling mod list or mouseover mod lists (power mods, handling, audio, aesthetics, etc...) would be a clean and concise way to pack alot of info in a small space.

I have a gif sig that is smaller in size than my old jpeg one yet I still have to get rid of it because it loads too slow.
I know for a fact it loads quicker, and takes up less bandwidth...but whatever.....huh and mine is an LS1tech sponsor banner too!

Flash banners are not tolerated, because they dramatically slow the loading of the page. One *MIGHT* be ok, but what happens when you get 15 of them? Not only that, but we're also then forcing members to rely on some unknown off-server network connection, and not to mention our users on low bandwidth connections. Yeah, you might want your sig to be all flashy and "cool," but think of everyone it will affect before going nuts with it. *PPPLLLEEEAAASSSEEE" keep your sigs to as small size as possible.
