Default My M6 street car finally back to the track and a new PB!

Its been a long time since ive gone so figured I needed to go back. Car fought me all day. All in all 5 poor passes with 2 good ones. Here is my nitrous pass.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysg0THyWpqE&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The 60 and 1/8th were a little slower then my best but it ran hard out the back. And fwiw this truely is a street car. No cage. Full interior plus some. Stereo system etc. it weighs 3740 without me in it.

looks like the last half of my post got deleted. but in the car weighs 3740 without me in it (im only 160) and is the same way it left gm interior wise minus my stereo system and a few switches. no cage etc. it was slow in the 60 and 1/8th from my previous testing but my next pass out i broke the output shaft so i couldnt get a back up pass.

60ft 1.45 (best is 1.40)
1/8 6.23 (best is 6.13)
1/8 mph 112.9 (best 113.8)
1/4 9.68
1/4 mph 144.36

the track wasnt cooperating with me but i blame that on a bad bottle fill in my other bottle and just some rust from not driving it much lately and not been to the track in a year.

ya it is rdiculously heavy but its always been a street car so i haven't worried much about it. I'm going to start looking into that though for sure.

Dont do weight reduction. Then you will have a stripped out car before you know it. Nice runs and awsome to see a m6 rippin into the 9s

Awesome run! I love watching guys row through the gears and putting up awesome times. Gongrats!

Not to hate on the auto cars, but I've always thought, even with my mustangs, that the ET lists, or 9,10,11 second club cars need to be divided in to auto/manual cars, as there is so much difference in what it takes to get a personal best ET.

I completely agree 100%. If you want to gut the car and remove weight, then you need to be running events around the country. The ET lists should be for street cars.

Awesome pass! Congrats on the new PB! Get that thing to where it'll take a better hit off the line. Don't know what size shot you are running but on a 150 shot pills I was spraying 100% out of the hole with a .3 tenth delay and launched off of a two step hooked to my clutch switch. Makes staging and launching much easier and allows more focus on the ride.

Keep up the good work! You'll get there. I wished I had scaled my car again cause it weighed in really light compared to others but all I had gone was AC and the impact bars... the iron block and 9" I was running should have easily offset that. The same scales my bone stock (at the time) Formula weighed 3570 with my 140lb *** in it haha.
