Made it in the 8's

Still doing some tuning but not bad for a 275 BFG drag radial, .550 lift cam and a 215 TFS head.

Detailed build list?

400 LS1 6.0 iron block
High compression
.550 lift camshaft
trick flow 215cc heads
ati powerglide
9" ford
275/60/15 drag radial

I'm running the car in the NMCA street radial class so we are limited to the BFG tire. Went 1.38 60ft in that run. No 300 jet either.

saw the other thread so how little of shot?

camscam02 Jul 24, 2009 02:52 PM

I heard a 390 something cubic inch. 3.9 stroke 4.0 bore? maybe??

how high are you spinning it and what intake a tb/carb setup it on it?plate or direct port?

sorry for all the questions, trying to find something that works in a class I want to run.

JonatRLMS Jul 24, 2009 02:53 PM

Spinning it around 7500 at the moment. Out of the box super victor manifold with a quick fuel 850 carb.

Wilson single bar plate with a 250 jet.

red91z Jul 24, 2009 10:11 PM

No push system allowed and we are limited to a .094 nitrous jet which I have not run yet.

That's moving pretty good for the setup for sure. What's the car weigh?

red91z Jul 28, 2009 07:32 PM

thanks, 3285 with me in it.

Derek@BPP Aug 4, 2009 03:32 PM

congrats. Don't tell anyone, but it's prolly the best looking 3rd gen I've seen. LOL

J-R10-5 Aug 12, 2009 12:23 PM

Nice job -

How does your car do in 1/8 mile? That's a dumb ass question! Every car runs the 1/8 on the way to a 1/4.

Over at Ohio Valley Louisville Ky they have a D/R race this Saturday. I've never looked at the rules but you're not too far away. If you don't want to run D/R there might be another class over there where you might have some fun..

:drive: You're welcome

Firehawk441 Aug 16, 2009 07:28 PM

Very nice job. You're in parachute territory now.

ndfrsd6 Aug 17, 2009 04:28 PM
