New best, 9.39, ran out of gear!
So while in Houston for Tx2k10 I made a pass at LMP. Went 9.39@144 on a less than stellar 1.57 60'. It was nice to run a new best, but I ran out of gear prolly 400ft before the traps. I'm running a 3.70 gear, I will be putting in some 3.25's to see if I can get into the 8's.
Also went 4.9 in the 60-130, another new best!
Here's the vid of the 9.39. I'm racing a turbo zx14.

Man that's bookin! Congrats on the new best, it'll definitely like some 3.25s. It was nice meeting you guys too, I was with theonepercent.net crew from OKC that was talking with you at the seudo night meet on Friday night behind Frankensteins and later when the race with you and 'Trust' was being organized.

Can't beleive they let a bike line up with a car, that would never happen at Etown.
Looks friggin good though walking away from a bike like that and damn nice pass!!
You think you'll need the gear swap with a better 60'?

Nice run... With a low 1.3 60' time you'll be extremely close to an 8 second pass if not in the 8's.
I have a few questions...
Why do you think you're running out of gear? What RPM are you crossing the stripe at? What size tire are you running with the 3.7 gear? What is your converter slip %. All this is important.

rumblebox- lemme know when you come through
My 60' was a 1.57 on that pass, not very good but the DR's just don't get the job done. I have slicks now.
The car seems to just quit pulling around 1000' and 6k rpm. It shows on the dyno too. I put the 3.25's in and I cracked the intake and somehow blew an exhaust manifold gasket. I was on 24psi when this happened, I was really shooting for 150+ but **** happens lol. I just put my intake back on after having it welded (bbk ssi intake) and am almost done with the exhaust leak. I don't know if I should leave the boost turned up or just run low boost as I am tired of fixing ****.
My converter is a PTC and has a 4% slip on the top end.
The car sees much more street duty than the track.
