Junkyard 5.3 with a turbo in the 9’s! This was the third outing in the car and we have ironed out a LOT of bugs. First track day out, 11.0 at low 120s on spring pressure. Next track day out, 10.4 at 133 on 14-15 lbs and then finally today 9's!
First pass of the day I went 10.2 at 133. Matt Sorian was hosting the track day and was able to add timing and make some tweaks to my tune. Next pass:
9.78 at 136.95!
As you can hear in the video, its blowing out spark at the big end. We let it cool off, closed the gaps on some new plugs, put them in, and tried again.
THAT TRAP SPEED!
We backed that up with another 9.8 @139.5
I am so freaking stoked. This is a STOCK BOTTOM END GEN 3 5.3 that we opened the ring gap on, put my old 241 stock heads off my blue car, and an LS6 intake on and sent it.
Props to Huron Speed on an absolutely phenomenal kit that performs!
