8.75@159 first outing. Update. ***8.17@170***

Started some upgrades over the winter and finally got the car back together again. New combo is a 388ci LSX with Dart LS3 heads from Thompson Motorsports with twin Forced Inductions Billet 76mm T4 Borgs, BTE glide, PTC converter, QP fabbed Ford 9" with 4.10 gears and 40 spline axles. Car weighs 3360 with me in it and is primarily a street car that I race once in awhile.Made 3 passes to sneak up on everything, one on gates, one adding 5psi on the dome and the last adding 10psi on the dome. Peaked at 19.8 psi through the traps. Launched real easy on purpose and ramped boost in really slow. Now time to get back to the track and work the first half of the track!https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...f755a60de4.jpg

Awesome! You got that car rolling out with plenty left in ET/mph. Congrats!

Thank you Matt. Going back to the track tomorrow to make a couple more passes and see if I can shave the times down a little more.

Very nice. Looks like you are really going to knock it out of the part with this combo!!!

Thank you, the engine is kicking butt so far!! I upped the boost to 21psi and working on the first half of the track now. Went 1.29 60' and 5.4@132 so far. Lots of room left on the setup. Going back Saturday to leave on more boost, ramp boost in quicker and put another 3-4psi to it. :)

thompson 09-11-2018 05:35 PM

Awesome, I cant wait to see where you end up with it.

Ratical 09-16-2018 07:21 PM

Went to the track Saturday and ran a new best of 8.48@164 on 22.8 pounds with a weak 1.38 60ft.

And thank you Mods for updating my group!

Love the progress!!! Thank you for the update.

Nostang 09-18-2018 10:17 PM

Wow, super impressive. Congrats.

Ratical 09-19-2018 07:41 AM

Thank you guys. I am going back to the track on the 29th and planning to put another 5psi to it for a fastest street car race, but they are thinking of making it no clocks or time slips so people running under their legal cert won't get disqualified so no updates unless it's to say I took home the cash!

I wish I could post videos, but Photobucket is charging to host videos again. :(

Radical, that is BA....I'll be on your coat-tails soon (via a little nitrous of course) with a 398" I'm working on. Congrats!!

Went to the track again yesterday to run a local fastest streetcar shootout. They decided to give us time slips after all. Made back to back 8.1@170 passes peaking out at 27.2 PSI. Still could only leave at 7.7 psi and had to ramp in boost slow or the front end would stand up, but made it up on the big end. :)

ForceFedC5 09-30-2018 03:24 PM

That's AWESOME! Congrats!!

Ratical 09-30-2018 03:40 PM

Here is the log of the first 8.1 pass. Car ran flawlessly all day.

Thank you! Stood the car up testing last 2 times I went to the track trying to bring boost in faster and had to back it back down so I dropped the car off today for some wheelie bars. Most of the car was built right in my little 2 car garage by me or my buddy, but figured I would have a professional weld up the wheelie bars since they are moly and I do not have a tig welder. Going to try one more time before the season ends to get that 7 second pass! :drive:

Nostang 09-30-2018 10:32 PM

You got 7's in the bag! Nice times and progress!
