9’s N/A
Went to a test n tune yesterday, made 6 passes and got the car working pretty good on the new n/a build. Air wasn’t great, 2800 feet d/a and I’m blowing through the yank ss4000 converter, 18% slip at 7000, crossing the stripe 7400-7500 rpm. Can’t wait to run in some better air even with the car setup the way it is right now, hopefully crack the 5’s in the 1/8.

What suspension mods you have? That 60ft is serious business.

You are 3 tenths and 3 mph faster than my car with the same gearing. I ran a best of 10.04 at 134 on a 1.29 60ft at a raceweight of around 3100 lbs. I do not think you are slipping that much. Weight might have a little to do with it. Your mph and ET are right on parr. What was your shift extension on the gear change???

it should be dropping to right around 7200- 7300. Have it tightened up. Even if you do have it tightened up your E.T. is not going to change much at all. I went thru 3 converters before settling on the circle-d. One was too tight, then too loose, E.T barely changed at all.

I'm going to most likely just run this converter for the summer and change things up this winter, either different converter, or a powerglide. I do have 50/50 atf and john deere hygaurd in the trans to try to tighten the converter up some. going to a local track tomorrow, not as good of prep but air should be 2000' better.
