How is your front end after popping those massive wheelies? Must have a custom front suspension on that beast, right?

Nice run, 9's are very impressive and fast...

Congrats.

Time for some travel limiters looks like your car is getting higher and higher.

I am using a two step and travel limiters and from the few runs I have on 325's the car barely lifts the fronts, maybe 6-8 inches.
Yeah you turbo guys are lucky as well cuz you hit the tire a bit differently. We're going to put some limiters on it though for a money race we got comin.... i'm thinking the car will probably be about a tenth quicker without the wheelstands.... thanks again.

Just your typical F-body BMR stuff. tubular k-mbr, tubular upper and lower a arms, QA1's and aerospace brakes up front.... front end seems perfect... the key is to NOT LIFT. You have to shift and ride it out with your foot on the floor... comes down pretty soft....

here's a video of the wheelstand at Pinks (I've posted it in other areas but maybe u guys haven't seen it)

thanks guys. Oh you missed it? I thought you were still in our pits when we rolled the car out from under the EZ Up out of our pits... I know I drove by ppl at the snack bars that looked like they were leaving the lines instead of buying food to go back to their seats LOL!

Glad you were there though. When I got there friday morning I was like "OH ****" when I remembered that I had to tell my boy to come get you..... I was oppressed that week leading up to it man cuz I had so much to do...... but i was happy you made it out... Did you have fun overall?????

No the fastest pass it's been so far was a 9.79@139.9...... on 1 unit jetted for 150hp.... smallest jets that I have..... motor was built for 2-3 kits and 400hp worth of spray....
car runs consistent 10.60's on motor... we're thinking with more play time with the suspension that it's got a 9.6x in it with the same jets.... I've made a total of like 6-7 runs on spray so far....

man that was awesome. what kinda 60 foots do you run usually?
Car has been 1.50 60' on motor.... went 1.40 on spray twice tripping with the front tires, and a 1.50 (that pass in the vid that was obviously on the back tires).... So most likely another 1.40... maybe a 1.399 but no way to tell.....

Another 50hp and that thing drags the bumper until you let off!!!

Been there done that.... I shifted and tried to pedal it and it didnt come down until I let off completly .... and it broke a bunch of ****!

Get those limiters on there before you make anymore HP.

Yeah, please do. **** I put mine on the bumper with 150, if I hadn't blipped on the way up it probably would have got all 4 off the ground And if I hadn't stabbed it when I did on the way back down, I'd still be trying ot piece **** back together I'm sure.

yeah we did a wheelstand at the single best time (right in front of Rich Christensen) to get on TV... So we'll see around thanksgiving when the sonoma episode comes on TV if I got some TV coverage. We're pretty sure it'll make the cut cuz it was one of the few cars out of 450 with nose to the sky wheelstands....

But you're right i'm done with that business.... I'm ordering the limiters in the next few weeks prior to taking the car out again. Going to put the fronts at like 9-10 ish and put the limiters in the middle and go from there..... can limiters cause the car to blow the back tires off due to not enough weight????? Cause I was wondering how much of a balancing act it is to get enough weight over the back tires to hook and taking TOO much weight transfer out of it causing excessive spin.....

They can make the car spin if they're too tight. I ended up putting mine one hole looser then madman told me to start, and the shocks are at the same setting they were at... but then again the car is still in the 1.4 60 foot range too, so it's not working right IMO yet.

I figure i'll put the fronts on like 6 or so (they were at 2 without limiters) and then adjust them to the middle hole to limit travel to like 3-4" I guess...

I've been taking advice from Madman and my chassis guy Theo Dec from Wizard Racing and it's seemed to work so far according to my back bumper.. LOL.....

So i guess i'll just continue listening to the pros...

Here a full wheelie - only 150 shot out of the hole - mine when I was "doing" nitrous. No front limiters - stock bottom end; h/c; TH-400; 12-bolt; run was Memorial Day 2005. Best time of the day 10.169; worse run 10.171 (8 rounds) Sad day, took the engine out

Lesson: get the front limiters NOW!!
