I guess either or. I was always under the impression you could only get it as a 350. Funny in certain years you could get an iroc with a tbi (bleh)

yea ive done my research in the past and i know my vin if youd like i'll take a pic of it and post it on here if that makes you happy. but i really shouldnt be proving myself to anyone. I was only asking a question about intake and heads. The car was a matching #s car until a year ago when it got into an accident it had a year ago. I would love a 350 and i think thats the upgrade that makes most sense, but im not allowed to do it in my back yard by my father

1988:
1988 brought about some welcome changes in the horsepower department, as well as a somewhat revised exterior scheme. The Z28 was discontinued, and the IROC was now its own model. For the first time in the history of the Camaro, no carbureted Camaros were available. All motors offered fuel injection of some sort. The base IROC motor had the TBI injection that was very similar to what was found on the trucks. A new camshaft finally found its way into the 305 TPI and boosted horsepower to 195 horse in the auto, and a stout 220 horse when backed with the T5. The 350 also got a small horsepower boost to 225 horse. All of the V8s starting in 88 had "guided rocker arms" that featured a stamped-in lip on each side of the pad that contacts the valve stem.

you are exactly right on your info there although there were five years of the iroc only two years 1988 - 1990 was the only 2 of those years they combine the z28 in to the iroc which made it the iroc.z
