Default my s-10 might out run my ls2 gto for half the money

i am afraid that my 1995 s-10 ext cab is going to out run my 2006 gto in the 1/4 mile this year. got mabe 5k in the hole s-10 and something like 10-12k in mods done to the gto. gto has a 600+ lift cam and fast intake with a 9" rear and 4.56 gears. but the s-10 has 40 over 350sbc with a 650+ lift soild cam dart 2.08 1.60's super vic jr and turbo 400 with 5000 stall and trans break still has the 10 bolt with stock 4.10 gears so might not make it down the track. so what do you think my s-10 will run?

you'll be all in the rev limiter by 1/4 mile i bet running 4.10s. my 98z with a th350, 3600 stall, 26" slicks, and a 3.73 rear was redline- 7000 at the lights in the 1/4.

that is y i will be running at least a 29"tall tire would like a 30-31" but all the drag tires i have go from a 29 right to a 33" and the 33" is way to tall and is also 15" wide at the tread so thay stick out the fender like 6" or more

you would have to back half it cause the frame rails run right beside the fenderwell. it would look really sick with a set 15" tires squeezed under there!

ya the 15 is the tread width on the hoosiers so the section width is some thing like 22" that 44" off space needed for rubber. if i do that i might have to get at least a 300 shot to play with. for now i am working on getting this 9" in the gto working. hopeing to get them both in to the 11's this year

ya if i do the back half 9" i got a set of 5.13's for the 33" slicks. all of that was for a back halfed 1987 camaro the 9", 5.13's, motor, slicks. still got the body sitting around don't know what to do with it. might get it up and running but the there goes my s-10 pretty much. then i would have 3 drag cars i don't got the $ for that

saving for a 454lsx for the gto. that is why the s-10 is not up and running yet. and why i am not dumping any more money in the ls2 in the gto. this season i will hopefully get the rear end to work right and mabe next seaon mabe i'll start on the motor for it. for now with the s-10 i am just going to weld the spider gears together (lincoln locker) and hope the 10 bolt holds for now.

Do you have an idea on weight and HP ? Do you slip alot in 1st and 2nd? I'm 2850 with me in it and at my best had 415 HP But i only ran 12.4 110 because i slipped alot in first.
You should easy be into the 11's if not high 11's just make sure you get that carb jetted good.

Whats your mph in the 1/4 i was going 130 in the 1/4 with 4.10s and 27 inch slicks, turning less than 7000 maybe your converter sucks. his combo wont go 130 so he wont have a problem with 4.10s
