Street Tunnel Rams???
I maybe a slave to the 1970's but I drool over Tunnel Rammed engines.
Can these manifolds be tamed for the street or are they a show/track only idea?

god i hope so
i used a dual pattern cam.. 468/.488 lift with 1.6rr's , its going in a 27ford roadster, it weighs in at 2000lbs, and running a 3k rpm converter, 700r4 trans, w/3.45 gear, the low first gear in the tranny will help.
i was told by a couple of older streetrod builders that i have alot of respect for that i would be pushing it with the .488 but i would be ok because of the lightweight i will be running.. if i need to i can swap in 1.5 rr's but i dont think i'll have to..
the reason i used that cam was for some bottom end torque but the car is very light.... i'm mainly using it for looks also, i'm like you i've always liked them, especially on old open frontend streetrods.. with the dual pattern it will have a nice hit to it also..
