an old NHRA Pro racer from the 60's told me ...... run as long as a rod that you can stuff in an engine. slower piston speeds, longer ring life, less wear on the cylinder walls, higher rpm. i recommend the ohio kit cause i have personally beat the **** out of it for years and i know it can take the abuse.
i run a 6" H-beam rod, im not a fan of king bearings, i have always uses clevite and have had great luck with them
if you were closer i would sell you mine, over 20K hard miles on this i had to replace the rods cause they were at the limits and all were stretched .010"
