Can someone help me diagnose this throttle body? 8.1L gen 7 mercruiser
Hi all. Can anyone I’d this throttle body? I was expecting to see a 6 or 8 wire setup and saw this one with 3. It’s a cable actuated throttle body, 78mm.
and if I were to want to replace this with a larger one, what could I use? Is the three wires sensor just the tps?
It looks like PN:866576A04 or PN:866577A04 is what Mercury calls out.
It looks very much like a standard LS1 3-bolt throttle body and TPS sensor. The only real difference appears to be a bolt on barb fitting in place of where the IAC would be on the LS1.
